Thanks to everyone who came out to our first Sons/Superwomen Bowling event yesterday! The boys had a great time and it was so fun to see so many Mustangs together!

Calling all artists! Submit your art to be considered for the 2024-2025 Monroe Yearbook cover. We will have a NEW front cover winner for this year. All submissions will be included in the yearbook - either as a runner up or part of our submission collage pages.

See attached FLYER for rules and suggestions for your submission. There will be a bin in the front office to turn in your art and tomorrow is the final day to submit your art. Good luck, Mustangs!

Spring and Siblings Picture Day

Dear Families,

Spring is almost here, and we are excited to announce that Spring and Siblings Picture Day will take place on Wednesday, February 19th, at 8:30 AM! This is a wonderful opportunity to capture your child's bright smile and memory of this school year.

What to Wear: Feel free to let your child pick their favorite spring outfit! Please avoid green clothes as they can interfere with the photographer's green background.

Retakes: If your child (children) is absent on Picture Day, a retake day will be announced after that day.

Science Fair

The presentation boards (tri-fold presentation boards) will be given to the students after school on Wednesday, January 29th. Details for what to put on the boards will be provided at that time. The boards will be due back at Monroe by 2/18. The Science Fair will be 2/25, 6-7 PM. Please send an email to sciencefair@monroeschoolpto.com if you have any questions or if you would still like to sign up your child.

Monroe 2025 Sweetheart Dance

Get ready to dance the night away at the Monroe 2025 Sweetheart Dance! The dance will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 7-9 p.m. at the Hinsdale Golf Club. Monroe students and their chosen guardian are welcome. Tickets are $45/person and include music by DJ Maximus, dancing, desserts, and more! Cash (only) bar for the adults. If your kid has ever wondered what it's like to be the Monroe Principal for a day, now is their chance to find out! Announcing a PTO Fundraiser - Be A Teacher For The Day! Purchase a raffle ticket for Art Teacher, PE Teacher, Librarian or Principal and we'll draw a winner for each on March 1. Buy as many tickets as you want for as many different roles as you want! Calling all 5th graders and families! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 12th for CHMS Pizza Wars 2025!
This well loved, delicious middle school event will be held Wednesday, March 12th at CHMS. It’s a great way to get a glimpse and experience what CHMS is all about!
You’ll sample slices of pizza and vote for your favorites! And enjoy the Eagle Jam Talent Show put on by CHMS students!

"Mon-Glow" Fifth Grade Dance Tickets Now Available!

Fifth Grade Students & Parents! Tickets are now available for the "Mon-Glow" Fifth Grade Dance on Friday, March 21st at Butterfield Country Club. Tickets are $75/person and include music by DJ Maximus, dinner, drinks, glow sticks and a photo booth. Drink tickets are available to purchase for parents. No siblings please.
