Please save the date for Monroe School's Annual Family Fun Fest - Friday, May 16th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
We are looking for parent volunteers! Please email familyfunfest@monroeschoolpto.com if you're able to help in any capacity and claim your spot. No job is too small. Volunteer opportunities are available after school until the event closes.

One Book, One School: Show us How You Shine!

We learned, thanks to Fish in a Tree, that not everyone Shines the same way. Students may SHINE in many ways (e.g. music prodigies, sports superstars, coding genius, and much much more). Now, it’s their time to SHINE!
Here’s the fun part; We want to see YOUR CHILD in action! Each student can share a photo of what they’re amazing at and add a caption telling us about their talent! Students will be featured in a super cool slideshow in front of the library.
Ready to get featured? Please continue to submit your pics and captions to Meredith Wodka at mwodka@d181.org. More “How You Shine” details are available HERE. We can’t wait to see all of the incredible talents!

Please save the date for an evening that supports reading and art at Monroe School. We have a grand event planned for Thursday, April 24th that includes the Monroe Book Fair, Fine Arts Night, and One Book One School Culmination.
This is a great event to purchase books for Summer Reading, Battle of the Books, celebrate our artists, participate in One Book One School activities, and continue to support a love of reading. Can’t wait to see you there!
Community Speaker Series Presents Harlan Cohen

Registration is now open for the final event of the Community Speaker Series season! We are thrilled to welcome New York Times bestselling author and college success expert, Harlan Cohen, to our community. He will share his advice for achieving success by getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.
NEW for this event: Bring your teens! Teenage students are welcome and encouraged to attend our evening event on Tuesday, April 29 at 7:00pm in the Hinsdale Central Auditorium. We will also offer a second presentation for parents on Wednesday, April 30 at 9:00am at The Community House. As always, our events are free and open to all. Come out to connect, learn and enjoy!
Please note: We anticipate a strong turnout for these events and ask that you arrive early to allow ample time for parking and seating so that we can begin our events promptly and provide our audience with the maximum amount of time with Harlan.

TODAY (3/16) is the last day to purchase tickets to the "Mon-Glow" Fifth Grade Dance if you have not already done so. Tickets are $75/person and include dinner, drinks, music by DJ Maximus, a photo booth to capture the evening and glow sticks! A cash bar is available for adults. As a reminder, each person attending requires a ticket (no siblings please).

Each yearbook comes with two free custom pages where you can make a personalized collage for your student! Additional pages available for a small fee. See the attached FLYER for details.
It is not required to have personalized pages but if you do choose to create them, please do so by 4/11. Thank you!
