It’s the question on the minds of teenagers and their parents everywhere: how do colleges select their freshman class? For an entire admissions cycle, Selingo was embedded in three admissions offices and followed a group of high-school seniors through the process as well as players behind the scenes, including the marketers, the financial aid consultants, and the rankers.
Selingo dispels the entrenched notions of how to compete and win at the admissions game, reveals why families have much to gain by broadening their notion of what qualifies as a “good” college, and explains how the Covid-19 pandemic will impact admissions in the long run.
Please see FLYER for more details.

One Book, One School is here!
3/11/2024 1:10 pm
Let the reading adventure begin! Join this community-wide reading event that provides every Monroe School family the opportunity to read the same book, The Wild Robot by Peter Brown.
Copies of the book were distributed on Friday, March 8th, and sent home with the YOUNGEST student in the family. Each family received a copy, a bookmark with a reading schedule (chapters spread out across 6 weeks), a parent letter, activity guide, an order form for additional books in the series, and more.
See this week's QUESTIONS to spark discussion. The whole family will go wild for this remarkable robot!
Students also have the opportunity to create their very own diorama recreating scenes and characters from the book. CLICK HERE for instructions. Final dioramas will be displayed during Fine Arts night and at the Monroe School book fair this April 25th!
