Hey 2nd Graders (and their siblings)! Come explore all that the DuPage Children's Museum has to offer in a private event on Wednesday, November 15 from 4:30 - 7:30 pm! Price is $30/child. Adult supervision is required, but adults are FREE. Pizza and drinks included! All proceeds benefit the PTO.

We Need YOU to Host a Party!

Thank you to everyone who has hosted or has offered to host a party to raise money for Monroe! But, Monroe families, we still need more parties!! Be creative and throw whatever kind of party you want! Pair up with other families or host on your own. Parties can be for adults only, kids only, or families. Parties can be focused on certain grade levels or genders (for example, you could host a party for only 4th grade girls).

Wondering how to sign up for events and place PTO orders? With the update a new website the ordering and payment process has changed this year. Here is are the quick steps for how to find forms, sign up for events, and place orders on the PTO website:

  1. Go to the Monroe PTO website (http://monroeschoolpto.com/).
  2. Login.
  3. Click on "My Account" - Here is where you will find all order forms for Upcoming Events, registrations, and other PTO information forms. Only forms that pertain to your children's grade levels will show up.
  4. Make sure to finish all forms and purchases completely.

Trunk or Treat is this Wednesday!

Boo! It's finally here!

Join us Wednesday, October 25 from 4:30 to 6:15 in the Monroe School parking lot. The MRC Book Fair will be open, there are many fun Trunks to visit, a spooky photo opportunity, and more! All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please support Monroe Cares and bring canned goods for Hinsdale Community Services. Everyone who makes a donation will get a bag to collect their treats.

Also, Community Partners has arranged for dinner at Jimmy Johns and Pour House after the event. Please join in the fun! More details on our community partners can be found HERE

If you ordered apple cider donuts or caramel apples, you can pick them up at the event. We will also have hot chocolate and apple cider available for purchase (cash only).

Canned Food Drive at Trunk or Treat!

Trunk or TREAT others with kindness by donating canned goods to a food drive hosted by The Kids Care Club at the Trunk or Treat event! Come visit our donation table and bring one or more can of food; every student who donates a can will receive a special bag to gather goodies and prizes at the trunk stations! All cans will be donated to HCS Family Services. We CANnot wait to see you there!

Attention Monroe Parents! Yearbooks are available to order on Treering.com - order by Halloween for 10% off.

Parents with an EXISTING Treering account:

  • Login to your account on treering.com
  • On the left side menu you will see your students, click in that section to 'buy yearbook'
  • If you need to add a new student (i.e. Kindergartener), Go Under "Kids", "Settings", and "Add Kid"

NEW MONROE FAMILIES without a Treering account:

  • Visit treering.com/validate
  • Enter our school code 1014404412984041
  • Follow prompts to set up your account and order

Ordering Tips: You will receive an email confirmation of purchase within 24 hours of placing your order. Custom pages do not need to be completed until the spring, you can ignore those prompts in Treering. If you have any issues or challenges with Treering, please contact their customer support number at 877-755-8733. Thank you!

Chicago Wolves Game for a Good Cause!

Come join other Monroe families at a Chicago Wolves game on December 3 at 3:00 (doors open at 2:00). All attendees will receive a FREE Chicago Wolves knit hat and will be seated together. Tickets are $27 per person, and a portion of this price will be donated to a charity chosen by the members of the Monroe Kids Care Club (we will share which charity once votes are in!) Something spooky is coming...

It's time for the Fall Fest! Mark your calendar for an afternoon of fun on Wednesday, Oct 25 from 4:30pm - 6:15pm. Please note: all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Our ever popular Trunk-or-Treat is back, along with the fantastic MRC Book Fair, Monroe Kids Club canned food drive, games, treats, music, and more!

Things to Know:

  • We'll have Page's famous apple cider donuts, and classic caramel apples fresh from The Fruit Store. Please CLICK HERE or scan the QR code to pre-order your tasty treats! Orders must be received by the end of day on 10/16. (Hot Cocoa and Apple Cider will be available for purchase at the event. Cash only.)
  • Don’t worry about making dinner on Trunk or Treat night! We have two Community Partner events after Trunk or Treat. Enjoy a sit-down meal with the family at Old Town Pour House or grab sandwiches on the go at Jimmy John’s. Hello Monroe Parents! The Science Fair was an awesome experience for kids and parents alike last year. The kids did an amazing job on their fun, brilliant and creative experiments! We are planning to bring it back February 2024, but in order to pull it off, we need your help!
