Thank you to all Monroe families that made it to the Chicago Wolves game this last weekend! By purchasing these tickets, we raised $670 in support of a local organization chosen by the Kids Care Club called Home 2 Home. Not to mention - it was a blast!

It's never too early to plan your After School Enrichment schedule! After school enrichment will be back after winter break, starting the week of January 8 through the week of March 11. Many vendors are open for registration already!

Vintage Charm Hinsdale is partnering with Monroe School for a holiday shopping event! On Wednesday, December 6, Vintage Charm will donate 20% of Monroe designated sales all day long from 9-5. Join us after morning drop-off on December 6 for coffee and donuts to kick off this fun holiday event as Vintage Charm is opening early for Monroe families from 9-10 am.

Old or Broken Crayon Collection!

The Monroe Green Club is sponsoring a used crayon collection!

We are collecting old and broken crayons to donate to the SCARCE Super Crayon Project. By collecting old crayons, we are helping to prevent crayons from entering our landfills. Plus, the oil from crayons will be melted down and made into different shaped "Super Crayons" for children with special needs. Thank you for supporting this Green Club project!

The collection will last from November 27 - January 17.

Student Council December Donation Drive

What?: Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services DuPage transforms lives by offering help and hope to those affected by domestic violence. Families need items such as toiletries (toilet paper, toothbrushes, etc.), art supplies, gently used toys, and cleaning supplies (wipes, paper towels, etc.)

When?: Monday, December 4th - Wednesday, December 20th

Where?: Bring items to your classroom and drop off items in your classroom bin

Attention 3rd Graders! Let's Dance on 1/19

All third graders are invited to support Monroe school by putting their dancing shoes on at The Community House on January 19th, from 4-6pm! This will be a drop-off DJ dance party for third grade students only. Tickets are $30/child, and pizza and drinks will be served.

Chicago Wolves Monroe Family Day - Dec. 3

Come join other Monroe families at a Chicago Wolves game on Sunday, December 3 at 3:00pm (doors open at 2:00pm). All attendees will receive a free Chicago Wolves knit hat and will be seated together as one big happy Monroe family! Tickets are $27 per person, and a portion of this price will be donated to a charity chosen by the members of the Monroe Kids Care Club. The link below will bring you to the ticket purchase page.

Feeling extra charitable? The Wolves will be hosting a Toys for Tots drive at the game, so feel free to bring an unwrapped and new toy or game to donate for a child in need.

Family Fun Fest is ON! Save the Date 5/17/24

Mark your calendars! Family Fun Fest will be back on May 17th, 2024. Thanks to Becky Bacogiannis, Ellen Dunlap, Catey White and Diem Tom for stepping up to chair this event. We couldn't do this without the amazing committee of volunteers who have signed up already, as well. Everything the PTO does is thanks to parents giving their time and talent. Thank you all!

Homework Helpers and Reading Ambassadors at the Hinsdale Public Library

EVERY Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. in the Teen Lounge

Getting homework help from a high school student is fun! Students K-8 can drop in during our Homework Helpers and Reading Ambassadors sessions to receive help from a local high school student. HPL's High School Homework Helpers and Reading Ambassadors can help with homework and read with younger students. 

Parents will sign in their students and find an available volunteer at one of our designated tables. Homework Helpers and Reading Ambassadors are fun, free and available on a drop-in basis every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon.
