The Monroe Green Club is Back! - Wednesday, Oct. 23

The Monroe Green Club is open to all students in 2nd-5th grade who care about making Monroe and our Earth a more green and sustainable place to be!

Our theme this year is focused on water conservation and clean water awareness! We will have lots of fun learning, playing games, completing craft projects, using recycled materials, and so much more!

Our meeting dates are: 

• October 23, November 13* (previously listed as 11/20), December 18, January 29, February 26 and March 26.
• Wednesdays after school from 3:05pm-4:00pm in Mrs. Schuppert's classroom-126.

Look out for tickets on sale THIS WEEK for our Parent Social Party on Friday, November 22nd!

Join your fellow parents for drinks and socialization on Friday, November 22nd, from 7:00pm - 9:30pm at Net Game in Westmont - a state-of-the-art indoor pickleball facility with nine courts and a full bar!

No experience needed. Beginners to advanced; all parents welcome! Look out for an email with ticket information this week. See you November 22nd!

Holiday Greenery Sale - Support the 5th Graders

Our Monroe 5th Grade class is sponsoring the annual Holiday Greenery sale now through November 4th. 

The fundraiser helps to reduce the cost of the Outdoor Education field trip and other 5th grade memorable activities. Holiday wreaths, poinsettias, garland, and other greenery are available for purchase.

Community Speaker Series Presents Dr. Aliza Pressman

Registration is now open for the first event of the Community Speaker Series season! 

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Aliza Pressman to share her parenting expertise with our community. Whether you are in the trenches with a toddler or a teen, this event is for you.

Dr. Aliza Pressman is a developmental psychologist with nearly two decades of experience working with families and the health care providers who care for them. She is the author of the New York Times bestselling book THE 5 PRINCIPLES OF PARENTING: Your Essential Guide to Raising Good Humans, and the host of the award-winning podcast Raising Good Humans.

There will be an evening presentation and a morning presentation to accommodate our audience. Both events will be held in person at The Community House. The events are free and open to all.

Thank you to everyone who supported, donated and participated in the Orange Ruler fundraiser for Monroe PTO! We met our goal and had a great time celebrating with the kids on Friday! Thank you for to all the Room Parents who encouraged and communicated with parents, our Committee for all their hard work, and the support of Monroe teachers and administration. These funds will go a long way to supporting the school!

If you joined the PTO before 9/6, be sure to check your child’s backpack for their Monroe SELAS T-shirt! Shirts were put in lockers Friday for every grade (except AM Kindergarten who will receive theirs on Monday).
