The Family Fun Fest Committee has started planning the event for May 16, 2025. Fun Fest is where our families and the Hinsdale community come together to celebrate the end of the year--- in a carnival setting. The kids love it!
We are looking for a person or pair to lead Sponsorship within our committee. If you would like to help, please email us at familyfunfest@monroeschoolpto.com. We can share more details. We have the materials/letters/business list ready to go, it's simply doing the outreach and following up.

Kids Care Club Halloween Candy Drive Reminder

Please help the Monroe Kids Care Club collect leftover Halloween Candy in support of the Chicago Survivors organization. The MKCC will hold the Candy Drive before school on Wednesday, November 6th and Thursday, November, 7th from 8:10am until 8:40am.

Please drop off your extra candy at one of our two donation tables, located by the main office entrance/parking lot or behind the school near the Monroe Street entrances.
Candy will be donated to Chicago Survivors, an organization that assists under-resourced children who have recently lost a loved one. The candy will be distributed around the holidays to provide some much needed cheer.

Last Call for Signed Author Visit Books

Chris Grabenstein is coming to Monroe on Wednesday, November 6th, to chat with your children about his final book in the "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library" series, "The Fantabulous Finale." Many of you remember his books from our One Book One School in 2022. This is a FREE visit offered by Anderson's Bookshop, but they do require a minimum of 30 books be sold. We are short of our goal. An autographed book by a visiting author often creates a core memory for young readers. Please consider supporting your child's life long love of reading and Monroe School.

Orders can be delivered to the library or made through Skyward. Checks and cash payments can be brought to school. If you'd like to pay online, log into Skyward, click the fees tab, click add fee, select author visit book purchase, add to cart, Pay. Please see the attached FLYER for more information.

Veterans Day - Wear Red, White and Blue

We are excited to announce that all students will be performing a special song during the Veterans Day assembly on Monday, November 11th. To show their pride in our country and honor our veterans, we encourage children to wear red, white, and blue. Let’s unite in celebration and tribute to those who have served!
